Beauty of the Mountains

We live in an incredibly beautiful area. It stuns me sometimes when I realize how beautiful it can be. I just drive by it everyday without taking the time to notice.

It's fall in Western North Carolina and the leaves are changing color and the air is cooling.
Now I am a summer fan. I love everything hot and sunny, surrounded by water. But this weekend was just so perfect that I couldn't help but to appreciate my surroundings.

We were kid free for the weekend and decided we needed to get outside in the beautiful weather.
We took a hike in Dupont Forest and found ourselves around the best of nature.

All of this is located only a 10 minute drive and then a few minutes hike away from our home.
